Oxygen XML Editor and XSLT Debugger integrates smoothly with Eclipse offering a powerful yet simple to use XML editing environment (XML project, XML perspective, XSLT Debugger perspective, wizards, document templates, preferences, help, outliner, editors, views, actions, annotations, etc.).

The intelligent content completion driven by a DTD or a schema or by the document structure itself, the full support for DTD, XML Schema, Relax NG schema (RNC and RNG) and even for NRL schema and the possibility to edit and debug XSLT, evaluate XPath and apply transformations on your documents using XSLT and FOPs make Oxygen the complete solution for XML applications.

The new additions in version 5 include XSLT 2.0 Editor and Debugger, XQuery Editor, support for XPath 2.0 evaluation, mapping from the transformation result to the source location and stylesheet location, WSDL Editor and SOAP Analyzer, embedded HTML view, a couple of XML refactory operations, content completion improvements and a lot more.

Version 5.1 adds as main features folding, code templates, better Relax NG support, Schematron validation and the possibility to use MSXML and XSLTProc as XSLT transformers.

Version 6 adds as main features Visual Schema Editors for XML Schema and Relax NG schema, Import from Databases, text files and Microsoft Excel sheets, XML Digital Signature and XML Canonicalization and more.

In Oxygen 6.1 you can find an XSLT Profiler, in place editing for schema diagrams, improved schema navigation and a lot of other new features.

Version 7 adds more than 50 important new features like continuous validation, XQuery debugging, XPath content completion and XSLT refactoring actions.

Version 7.1 adds support for Berkeley and eXist XML Databases, an XSL templates view for easy navigation through the edited XSL stylesheet and an XPath builder view for editing complex XPath expressions.

Version 7.2 of the Oxygen XML Editor adds as main features an XML Schema instance generator, integration with the X-Hive/DB, MarkLogic and TigerLogic XML databases, editing actions on the diagram and search references/declarations actions in XML Schema and Relax NG schemata editors.
Version 8.0 of the Oxygen XML Editor adds as main features a spreadsheet-like XML Grid Editor, management support for major XML and relational databases, options and transformation scenarios that can be stored into the project file and support for NVDL (Namespace-based Validation Dispatching Language) scripts.
